Junior Nordic Skier Support Campaign

Many of you may recall last winter’s fabulous Junior National Cross-Country Ski Championships that were held here in Stowe. To all of you who participated in the event by making donations through Stowe Nordic Foundation or by volunteering or attending – we thank you very much.

Stowe Nordic Foundation is asking for your help again to support talented and deserving young Nordic skiers this season. Our goal is to make training and competing for our sport accessible for all young athletes and hopefully for future Junior Nationals (and someday maybe the US Olympic team) to include some of these young local skiers who are training hard or just getting involved in Nordic skiing right now, but for whom the cost of the high quality training and the equipment needed to progress and ultimately be competitive at the regional or national level is out of reach.

For this reason, Stowe Nordic Foundation is launching the Junior Nordic Skier Support Campaign. With your help Stowe Nordic Foundation will offer financial assistance to young athletes who demonstrate commitment and passion to pursue this sport at a higher level – whether that is helping them afford a quality training program or purchase the outrageously expensive wax they require to be competitive or buy that fast pair of skis that they need to win.

We believe strongly in helping our young athletes succeed…. we ask you to join us in helping them achieve their dreams with a personal contribution of $100+ or a business contribution of $250+.

Sincerely,
George Jackman
